Q:

1. I heard a rumor that if you drink milk and coffee (i.e. Latte), the caffeine in the coffee prevents the nutrients from the milk to be absorbed into your body. Is this true?

2. I recently started to exercise again. Is doing cardio in the morning better for you? I heard that if you do cardio in the morning you burn more calories?

A:

1. No, you get all the nutrients, as well as the calories from any milk that is part of a caffeinated drink.

2. There is no difference in the calories expended in a workout, no matter what time of day it is done.
