Hi!

My throat has been hurting for the past couple weeks. It was really bad last week but definitely not as bad this week. It's mostly when I swallow. My glands are swollen too. I also keep getting hot and cold every once in a while. My boyfriend just got strep throat but he is really sick.

I was wondering if maybe I had strep throat too just not as bad or what it could be.

If you have been exposed to strep throat, then you need to be tested too since your symptoms, though not totally typical, could be strep. It also would be wise to be tested for mononucleosis since this has been lasting a couple of weeks.
