I have been on Yasmin Birth Control for about two years. The last few months I have experienced brown discharge at least a week before my period and occasionally I bleed too. I haven't experienced break through bleeding before. I don't know what is causing this. Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Break through bleeding happens commonly on the low dose pills but when it is a new occurrence for you it is best to review it with your health care provider, consider cultures to rule out sexually transmitted infections and to rule out pregnancy.
A change in dosage of pill may be indicated.
