Q:
I have been running quite a bit in the recent
months (15-20 miles a week). My feet are starting to get sore more often
than they used to. It is mostly just when I am running, and it is a slight
pain around the arch of my foot extending too the ball of my foot. I was
wondering what measures I could take on my own to fix this (stretching my
feet?, getting insoles, getting new shoes, running a different way), or if
it is something that I should see a doctor about?
A:
"The Doc" needs to say, from time to time, that she/he can
answer questions of a general nature, but really cannot give medical
advice for specific circumstances that require individual diagnoses, or
make diagnoses by e-mail. Your question is a "specific circumstance"
requiring a diagnosis, and therefore "the doc" suggests that you consult
"your doc" about the problem, to have it cared for properly.
