Clinical Training Program

Internship and trainee positions are available in the Counseling Center. Internships are open to students in doctoral programs who are preparing for a career in counseling.  Trainee positions are open to students in Masters level programs.  Supervised training opportunities also are open to individuals who have completed a graduate degree and need to accumulate supervised hours toward state licensure. Application can be made at any time, though most are made in Winter quarter for positions to begin the following Fall. Doctoral internship applicants are encouraged to follow APPIC guidelines and timetables regarding the submission of their application materials.  The positions typically are not paid.  A Masters level trainee position typically involves 16 hours a week for three quarters.  A Doctoral internship requires a minimum of three days a week on site, with four as typical, for a minimum of one calendar year.

If you have any questions contact Dr. Eric Denson at the Counseling Center.
