Sleeping Soundly: Sleep is essential to maintaining health and a strong ability to concentrate, memorize and learn. We know that sleep disruption not only results from depression, it also causes depression. In this one-hour workshop, basic concepts about sleep will be discussed and you will be taught a number of specific strategies for getting to sleep and improving the quality of sleep.
Introduction to Mind-Body Technologies: Take the guesswork out of relaxation and stress management training. In this repeating workshop, students will be given a tour of the Counseling Center’s resources for self training in Mind-body strategies. You will be taught how to use a number of different tools for monitoring and controlling your own body’s stress and relaxation response. Once the basics are understood, you can come in any time and tune up your specific body-mind skills for relaxation and stress control.
Taming Your Test Anxiety: Are you in a panic about tests or midterms? Learn ways to maximize performance and minimize stress.
Time Management & Procrastination Workshop: Want to focus on good grades this quarter?
Do the push to get yourself there, keep at it and you WILL change your academic behavior and improve your grades.
General Counseling Group: For those looking for connection with self and others. As trust is established, this group offers a place to explore issues of meaning and common experiences for us all.
Sister 2 Sister: A Women's Group: Do you wish for a safe place for women to get together and talk about some of the deeper issues of life? In this group, each woman is a Diva in her own right! Have a voice. Be heard. Connect with other women, each on her own journey of growth.
Grief Group: Get support and learn ways to move through the process of grief in a safe environment.
