Women's Empowerment and Violence Education Programs:
(offered October through June)

WEAVE members, as part of the Lifestyle Advisor Program, participate in programs across campus.

* Sexual Assault Prevention & Education
This program, designed for men and women, discusses the need for men and women to be equal partners in preventing sexual violence, that sexual misconduct includes a wide range of behaviors, and that consent is based on respectful and mutual communication. The program is conducted as a partnership with Western Men Against Violence (WMAV).

* Gender Mending
This is a fun program put on by WEAVE and WMAV to start an open and honest dialogue between genders. Learn why women go to the bathroom in groups and why men obsess over video games, or ask your own question for the opposite sex about dating, relationships, sex, love, friendships or general questions.

* Healthy relationships
This program defines the different components of dating violence and the aspects that create a healthy relationship.
