NEST (Neighborhoods Engaging with Students) Work Groups
 
Neighborhood Mediation Work Group
The Neighborhood Mediation Work Group gives input into program design; works on developing a framework for the work of the Neighborhood Conflict Managers and Mediators in the York, Sehome and Happy Valley neighborhoods; and helps implement the program, including promoting the use of conflict resolution and mediation to address neighborhood conflicts.

Neighborhood Service Work Group
The Neighborhood Service Work Group helps evaluate the Neighborhood Service Alternative pilot project and gives input into decisions to continue and/or expand it; if project continues, helps revise based on pilot evaluation and assists with implementation in additional neighborhoods. Works with the York, Sehome and Happy Valley neighborhoods to identify projects and events in which to include students, and develops ways to reach and involve students in neighborhood organizations and activities.

Off–Campus WWU Work Group
The Off–Campus WWU Work Group gives input into the content and design for the Off–Campus WWU website, and explores ways to promote the website to students, rental properties owners and managers, and the greater campus and Bellingham community.

Enforcement Work Group
The Enforcement Work Group improves communication and cooperation between campus and community enforcement entities; identifies opportunities to use enforcement as a strategy to reduce student alcohol misuse; develops and/or recommends policies to decrease problems involving students in neighborhoods; and identifies ways to increase education and awareness of enforcement.

LateNight@WWU Work Group
The LateNight@WWU Work Group plans and coordinates late night events on the WWU campus. The group also helps with evaluating the event implementation and develops funding with the goal of establishing LateNight@WWU as a sustainable (non-grant funded) aspect of WWU culture.

Hospitality Resource Alliance

Through community involvement and shared responsibility, the Hospitality Resource Alliance promotes sound business practices that influence customers to make healthy choices about their drinking and provides safe settings for informal public life that is essential to the community.

The Hospitality Resource Alliance has a long-standing partnership with the Campus Community Coalition. Numerous members of the Hospitality Resource Alliance are actively involved in the Campus Community Coalition and its workgroups, and the Campus Community Coalition supports the efforts of the Hospitality Resource Alliance.
