How to register for a CPR/First Aid class with the Lifestyle Advisor Program:
Schedule: Classes are held every Sunday while WWU is in session, except holiday weekends and the weekend before finals week. See schedule below.
Registration: To register, please come to the Wellness Outreach Center (VU 432) and sign a student account billing authorization. The WOC is open weekdays from 10 am – 4 pm. You are welcome to call ahead to see if there is still space in a class (650-4321), but you cannot register over the phone. The cutoff to register for each Sunday class is the previous Thursday at Noon. However, classes often fill up weeks in advance, so we encourage you to come down early.
Location: Classes are held in Miller Hall 160 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Certification: CPR certification is valid for one year and First Aid certification is valid for 3 years. You will receive your certification cards on the day of class, given that you pass the skill tests and the written exam.
It is important that you be on time to class! The American Red Cross will not allow us to certify anyone who is late or who leaves early. If you are late or you leave early, you will be charged for a missed class and you will need to pay again to make up the class.
Fees: CPR certification (Adult or Infant): $20. Combined CPR & First Aid certification: $30. Fees are billed directly to your Western account.
