Prevention and Wellness Services offers a broad spectrum of services designed to support you in your personal efforts to improve and maintain your health, including:
ALCOHOL AND DRUG CONSULTATION AND ASSESSMENT SERVICES (ADCAS) ADCAS is a safe, confidential, professional service for WWU students who want assistance or information regarding their own or someone else’s alcohol or drug use.
CRIME AND SEXUAL ASSAULT SUPPORT SERVICES (CASAS) CASAS provides a wide range of support services to students who have experienced sexual assault or other violent crimes.
WELLNESS OUTREACH CENTER The Wellness Outreach Center provides health resources to improve the quality of daily life for WWU students, like reducing stress, positive body image, nutrition and fitness, and getting involved. Visit them in the relaxed, positive atmosphere of the Viking Union.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS Prevention and Wellness Services offers peer-delivered educational programs on a variety of health topics, including Life of the Party, a program about how to recognize and respond to an alcohol emergency, and Gender Mending, a program about raising awareness of and respect for gender differences and similarities.
CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFICATION American Red Cross-trained Lifestyle Advisors offer certified CPR and First Aid training to WWU students for a nominal fee.
STI INFORMATION SESSIONS Trained Lifestyle Advisors provide confidential HIV testing and counseling to WWU students for a nominal fee.
OFF-CAMPUS WWU Off-Campus WWU is a dynamic website designed to help WWU students who are considering living off-campus or who already live in Bellingham’s neighborhoods. Topics include: Moving into Your Own Place, Be the Neighbor Everybody Loves, Partying in Bellingham, and Get Involved in Your Neighborhood.
