• 9 out of 10 sexual assaults are perpetrated by a friend, boyfriend or girlfriend, classmate, co-worker, roommate, acquaintance, or other familiar person.
• Consent cannot legally be given if under the influence of alcohol or other drugs (RCW 9A.44.010)
• The person who initiates sexual activity has the responsibility for getting consent.
• Consent can be revoked at any time by either party.
