Stalking Defined

Stalking is a course of conduct directed at a specific person that would cause them to feel fear. Stalking is a form of sexual harassment prohibited by Title IX and is a crime.

Stalking may look like:

  • Following or surveillance
  • Inappropriate approaches or confrontations
  • Appearing at place of work or residence
  • Unwanted phone calls, emails, text messages, letters, or gifts
  • Threats to family, pets, or property
  • Damage to property
