If you have flu-like Symptoms:
If you are having a life threatening emergency call 911.
Please do NOT walk into the clinic without an initial screening by a consulting nurse!
During our clinic open hours, work through our self-assessment survey to see if you need a phone screening at 360-650-3400 and select the option for "consulting nurse".
If the consulting nurse advises you to be seen, fill out our online symptom specific questionnaire for Seasonal Flu. Fill out your demographic information and then choose "Seasonal Flu" from the pick-list. It's the first option in the list. This information will go directly into your electronic chart and will be reviewed by a provider before your appointment.
If you don't think you need to talk to a consulting nurse but you have non-urgent questions for a healthcare provider, fill out our Influenza Virtual Visit form and someone will get back to you the same day. On weekends and holidays, virtual visits are checked and answered once daily.
If you need urgent consultation when the Health Center is closed, call 1-800-607-5501 to speak with an after-hours consulting nurse. This is a free call for enrolled students only.
Diagnostic and Treatment options:
Flu Test - this is an in-house test with instant results that costs $25.
Tamiflu - will help you with your flu symptoms but is ineffective if given more than 48 hours after onset of symptoms. The cost is $100. However, you MUST get a flu test before you will be prescribed Tamiflu so your total cost will be $125.
