Emily Gibson, M.D. Medical DirectorEmily is the Medical Director of the Health Center. She is also a board certified family physician with special expertise in mental health, eating disorders, sexual assault evaluations, and chemical dependency issues. Dr. Gibson earned her A.B. from Stanford University in 1976 and then went to the University of Washington for her M.D. in 1980. She had residency in the Group Health Cooperative family practice from 1980-83. She was also recertified by the board for family practice in 2007. emily.gibson@wwu.edu |

Warren Howe, M.D.Warren is our Joc-Doc. His expertise is in exercise-related and musculoskeletal medicine and, in addition to most family practice issues, he likes to deal with injuries and other problems related to physical activity and sports participation. As the university’s team physician, he's in charge of keeping WWU's sports teams healthy. He is board certified in the areas of family and sports medicine. Dr. Howe got his A.B. at the University of Rochester and later went on to Washington University in St. Louis to graduate with his M.D. in 1965. He completed his internship at the Philadelphia General Hospital in 1965 and his residency at the University of Rochester from 1969-71. warren.howe@wwu.edu |

Margaret Mamolen, M.D.Maggie is a staff physician at the Health Center. She is board certified in family medicine with special interests in international health and travel medicine. Maggie is the SHC travel clinic physician. Maggie graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and got her M.D. degree from the University of California at San Francisco. She completed her residency in family practice in Salinas, California in 1986. Maggie was an EIS officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 1987 to 1989 before working as a medical epidemiologist for the Vermont state department of health. Robert Watson, M.D.Bob is a psychiatrist at the Health Center. His area's of expertise include adolescent and adult transitional issues, psycopharmacology, Bipolar disorder, ADHD. Doc Watson graduated from the University of Hawaii with a masters in Human Physiology and then went to the University of Washington where he got his M.D. and completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry. 650-2959 |

Jill Kelly, R.D., C.D.Jill Kelly is Western’s university dietitian dedicated to bringing nutritional health and healing to campus. She received a bachelor’s of science degree in community medical nutrition and dietetics from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI. She is registered nationally with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and certified in WA State. Jill has completed extensive continuing education in topics such as, Diabetes Wellness, Evaluation and Treatment of Eating Disorders, Advanced Sports Nutrition, Weight Management and Metabolic Disorders, Cardiovascular Health, Food Allergies and Malabsorption, and Women’s Health and Hormones. Providing an empowering environment is Jill’s priority; one that erases the concept of dieting and encompasses nourishment and mindfulness.
