Flu Shots
We strongly encourage all WWU students and employees to obtain seasonal flu vaccine this year. Dr. Emily Gibson, director of the Student Health Center, encourages those with chronic illnesses to get their flu shots as soon as possible.
Cost at WWU?
$20
Students: The $20 charge will be billed to your student account. A document that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement will be emailed to your WWU email account the next business day after your visit.
Faculty, staff, and their dependents 13 years and older: We are no longer offering flu shots to faculty, staff and their dependents.
Dates/Hours/Location
Students: Please call the Student Health Center at 650-3400 and select option 1 to talk with a receptionist to schedule an appointment.
Before your visit:
- Please review the vaccine information sheet to verify you do not have any contraindications to the vaccine. Flu 2011-12 Vaccine Information Sheet
- Additionally, please print and fill out the vaccine consent form. You will need to bring this with you and have it ready to hand in at your appointment.

Community flu shot clinics
Go to the Whatcom Public Health Department's site at http://www.co.whatcom.wa.us/health/. It may cost more elsewhere but flu shot cost is generally reimbursable by insurance. Check with your insurer to know for sure.
