Kathleen Tomlonovic, Professor of Chinese Literature. Professor Tomlonovic's research interest is in literature of the Song Dynasty, specifically the scholar-official Su Shi. She has taught Chinese Literature in Translation, Chinese Culture through Film and Literature,  The Cultures of East Asia, Methods and Materials in East Asian Studies and Chinese language courses at all levels.  Kathleen.Tomlonovic@wwu.edu.  

Janet Zhiqun Xing, Associate Professor of Chinese and Linguistics. Professor Xing's research interest is in Chinese Linguistics and Pedagogical Grammar of Chinese. She has taught Chinese Linguistics, Introduction to Linguistics, Modern Chinese Soceity and Language, Traditional Chinese Characters, Chinese Culture through Film and Literature, and Chinese language courses at all levels. Ho-chin Yang, Adjunct Professor of Chinese. Professor Yang specializes in Tibetan Studies and has taught Tibetan History and Civilization, Traditional Chinese Characters and other Chinese language courses. Ho-chin.Yang@wwu.edu.

Lilly Yang, Adjuct Instructor of Chinese. Lilly Yang is a native of Beijing. She specializes in conversational Chinese and Chinese writing. She is also teaching Chinese and business Chinese at Whatcom Community College and Skagit Valley College. Lilly.Yang@wwu.edu.

Hsin-I Tseng , Visiting Lecturer in Chinese.  Ms. Tseng taught in the Chinese Language Program during the 2003-2004 academic year.  She was a recent graduate of the Institute of Chinese as a Second Language, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei.  She had experience teaching abroad, including the ACC program in Beijing, China and the Chinese Program at Williams College in Massachusetts.

Yupei Peng,  Visiting Lecturer in Chinese.  Ms. Peng joined the Chinese Language Program in the fall of 2000.  She taught throughout the academic year and then returned to complete her Master's Degree at the Institute of Chinese as a Second Language, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan. During the 2002-2003 academic year she taught at University of California at Santa Barbara.
