CP Desktop Messaging Installation
CallPilot
4.04.04.32 Desktop Messaging Client (new install)
- Contact the
Telecom Help Desk at 3600 and request to be placed in Desktop Messaging group.
- Close all programs except for this browser window (make sure to close Outlook) before you begin.
- If the computer has multiple Outlook profiles, verify that the default profile is the profile to be used with CallPilot.
- Click the Start button, then choose Settings, Control Panel. Double-click the Mail icon.
- Click the Show Profiles button.
- In the "When starting Microsoft Outlook, use this profile" box, select the profile to be used.
- Verify that Outlook is the default email program on the computer.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Choose Tools, Internet Options. Click the Programs tab.
- Verify or set Microsoft Outlook as the E-mail selection.
Start CallPilot installation
- Find the X drive and click on this file:
X:\Software\CallPilot\CallPilot for Office 2003 04.04.04.32/setup.exe

Click Next

Type in:
Server Name: 140.160.1.20
Server SMTP: 1360650
Choose:
English
Click Next

Select Complete
Click Next

Click Install

Click Finish
- RESTART YOUR
COMPUTER BEFORE PROCEEDING
- Start Outlook

Enter your Mailbox # (usually your 4-digit phone #)
Enter your Password
Click Properties

Enter your Mailbox #
(usually your 4-digit
phone #)
Enter your Password>Click Address Book Tab

Type in:
LDAP search base:
dc=vmail,dc=wwu,dc=edu
Click Download Now
When done downloading the address book:
Click OK

Enter your Password
Click OK
- To enable audio toggle (computer < > phone)
- Open Outlook
- Click on Tools, Email Accounts
- Select View or Change
- Highlight CallPilot Desktop Messaging
- Click on Change
- Click on the Audio tab
- Select Confirm settings before playing or recording
- Click Apply
- Click OK
- Click Finish
- To change CallPilot configurable options
- Open Outlook
- Click on Tools, Email Accts
- Select View or Change
- Click Next
- Highlight CallPilot Desktop Messaging
- Click on Change
OR
Within a CallPilot message, go to Tools, Options
