| Q:

not been processed yet? |
A: The following information is required: NAME, SSN, BIRTHDATE, GENDER, MAILSTOP, DEPARTMENT, OFFICE ROOM NUMBER, OFFICE PHONE NUMBER. | Q:
What are Unix Groups and how do I know which one(s) I belong to? |
A: A unix group is an additional means of controlling system privileges and access to files. When you set permissions on a file in unix, you set permissions for the owner, the group, and the world. A group just allows you to give multiple users a common set of access permissions to a given directory or set of files. If you'd like to know which unix group(s) you belong to, telnet to Hydra and from a command line, type: grouplist -u (yourHydraLoginName), and press return. For example: grouplist -u earlene would provoke the following system response: User: earlene (P)compctr acctmgmt banner mailgrp quickref security sysadmin. The (P) indicates the users primary group. | ||
