NolijWeb Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Nolijweb is no longer accessible via the WWU Admin Applications desktop icon. Why?
A.   When Microsoft released their Internet Explorer 7(IE7) update it affected the functionality of various vendor applications.  One such application is Nolijweb.  The Nolijweb client when used in conjunction with IE7 will not run within the Novell Application Launcher. Similar to Banner forms and reports access, Nolijweb is now accessible via a web page.

Q. How do I know which version of Internet Explorer I am using?
A.  Double click on the Internet Explorer icon as if you were go to the internet.  From the top of the browser, click on the Help menu then on  About Internet Explorer.  A pop-up window will display the IE browser version.

Q. Which version of IE is recommended?
A. If you are using IE6 it is recommended that you upgrade to IE7

Q.  How do I upgrade to IE7 from IE6?
A.  Go to this link on the Microsoft website, and follow the directions, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.ms

Q.  How do I launch Nolijweb?
A.  If you are reading this FAQ, you got here from the Nolijweb link posted on the ADMCS Admin. Applications web page.  The NolijWeb web page has menu lists 4 line items; FAQ, IE7 Client Install, IE6 access (Test and Production), and IE7 (Test and Production). 

A. If you are using IE7. At the outset you must first install the NolijWeb IE7 Client Install.  Once you have installed the Nolijweb client click on the IE7 links to access the Test or Production environment.

A. If you are using IE6, simply click on the appropriate link for to access either Test or Production (Note: you will need authorization to access the "Test" environment) 

Q.  How do I install the Nolijweb - IE7 Client?
A.  1. YOU MUST HAVE IE7 INSTALLED FIRST
A.  2. Install the NolijWeb IE7 Client (click the Run button).  An install pop-up box will display on your screen:


Click the Run button.  This will start the Nolijweb client desktop install process.  When prompted, click on >Next, >Install, and >Finish.

After the Nolijweb client software has been installed on your PC you need to remove the icon that had been placed on your Desktop during the install.
Right click on the icon and then click Delete to remove it from your desktop.

Q.  When I login to Nolijweb, after I enter my username and password I get the following message:
