Remote User Access to Systems
Note: installing Jinitiator locally and
copying the certificate to the required Oracle folder will not grant you
remote access to Banner 7 if you have not been granted remote access
permission. It is also necessary when connecting from remote locations
to install the VPN software.
To view the requirements for VPN access please read the
Remote Access
Policy before requesting Remote Access.
Once a user has obtained:
permissions
to remotely access Banner Forms and Reports
has
installed the VPN client
they need to perform the
following:
INSTALL THE BANNER 7 SECURITY
CERTIFICATE (use IE browser)
Click on the following link
certdb.txt
or mouse right click/highlight the file, and save the certificate file to the following location on your PC:
C:\Program Files\Oracle\JInitiator
1.3.1.18\lib\security
Close ALL
connections to IE browser connections
INSTALL Jinitiator
(use IE browser)
Click on this link to access INB:
https://inb.wwu.edu/ (new Jinitiator will install. This will take 5+
minutes depending on your line speed)
