WWU Dial-in Access

Western provides remote computer access to all faculty, staff, and students via several pools of dial-in modems. Also any faculty, staff, or student can access Western's campus network and computer resources via any network connection, including Internet Service Provider (ISP) connections.

  Student Modem Pool:

These modems are accessible remotely from anywhere. To access this pool you need PPP software installed on your remote machine. Access by dialing 647-6200. Contact ATUS to get a free copy of the PPP software. Access is granted to all students with a valid Titan account. If you do not have an account on Titan contact ATUS Help Desk, x3333.

 

  Faculty/Staff PPP Modem Pool

These modems are accessible remotely from anywhere. To access this pool you need PPP software installed on your remote machine and a valid faculty/staff modem pool account. Access by dialing 647-5116. Contact ATUS to get a free copy of the PPP software. To get a faculty/staff modem pool account contact ATUS Help Desk, x3333.

 

 Faculty/Staff Remote Banner Access

Faculty and staff can run Banner Web Forms from home with a PC or Mac using just an Internet browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer (IE). For more information see Banner Web Forms.
