WWU ADMCS Schedule of Operations
Academic Systems Availability:
The following is the standard schedule. If the systems are not needed for maintenance at the listed times a notice will be placed on ADMCS's Machine Status page, systems messages and voice messages are also sent out.
Titan, all Modems, Titan E-mail services, My Western, WWU Web,
and Internet News : Systems are available 24 hours per day, 7 days
a week except for the following times:
Every 1st Friday morning
of the month from 1:00 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. for scheduled maintenance.
The time between each term is
often used to install major upgrades.
Administrative Systems Availability:
The following is the standard schedule. If the systems are not needed for maintenance at the listed times a notice will be placed on ADMCS's Machine Status page, Hydra's MOTD, and a voice message sent out.
Hydra, the production machine, is available 24 hours
per day, 7 days a week except:
Thursday nights from 10:00 p.m.
to 10:30 p.m. for Weekly Backups, and
Quarterly scheduled maintenance (first Friday after Finals week)
- 12am to 6am
Weekends listed in the
Monthly
and Yearly Hydra Schedule
Gecko, the test machine, is available 24 hours per
day. 7 days a week except:
Thursday nights from 10:00 p.m.
to 10:30 p.m. for Weekly Backups and
Quarterly scheduled maintenance (first Friday after Finals week)
- 12am to 6am
Arcas,
the SQL server is available 24 hours per day. 7 days a week.
DataW,
the Data Warehouse machine is available from 7:am to 9pm. 7 days a week.
WUF,
(western user file) servers the production machines, are available 24 hours per day,
7 days a week except:
Weekly maintenance of the central
NT and Novell servers: Wednesday mornings between midnight, 12:01AM and 6AM.
Servers will only be brought down if maintenance or upgrades are needed.ADMCS Schedule, Revised: 06/06/2006
