Gradebook
NOTE: Faculty Gradebook Service Discontinued:
Gradebook is a pair of customized Excel spreadsheets which links the class roster for a course to student performance on individual assignments and then computes final grades based on formulas or weights provided by the instructor. For the past ten years the Testing Center has provided Gradebooks on request for interested faculty on the basis of assignments and weights they have specified.
However, due to limited resources and increasing demands, as of Fall quarter 2007 the Testing Center will no longer be able to provide the Gradebook service. In its place, we have designed an ONLINE TUTORIAL to help faculty who have used Gradebook in the past to adapt their previous gradebooks to current classes, and to help first-time users to create and maintain their own gradebooks. It is a straightforward process that anyone can do.
If you do not have an old Gradebook file, you can save a sample spreadsheet and adapt it. Save and adapt the standard spreadsheet if your final grade is essentially a summation of raw scores from individual assignments. Save and adapt the weighted gradebook to compute grades based on weighted percentage scores for each respective assignment/exam.
