Grade Table

    1. Standard: Final grade is based on raw scores of each assignment/exam. For example, in the table below, a student can earn up to 10 points for Participation, up to 45 points for the Exam, and so forth. The final grade is based on the sum of scores for the individual assignments.


    2. Weighted: Final grades are based on the weighted average of scores on each assignment/exam. For example, in the table below, each assignment is scored on a 100 point scale, and each score counts a different percentage toward the final grade. Each assignment can have a different maximum possible score and a different weight, but the weights of all assignments must add up to 100%.

    **Note the weights listed in row 7 for each assignment/exam.

 


    THE GRADE TABLE

  1. The Grade Table is used for the calcuations of overall course grades.
  2. You can view the Grade Table by selecting the "Grade Table" tab at the bottom of your excel sheet.
  3. Change the Grade Table by changing the percentage value associated with any grade; simply click in the cell and update the percentageby typing in your new value.
  4. Please see below for an example of an expanded Grade Table.
