Update from the University Bargaining Team
Over the past year the University’s bargaining team and the United Faculty of Western Washington bargaining team have been engaged in respectful and fruitful negotiations. Members of both teams have cooperated in reaching agreement on many issues, and we are still engaged in discussion regarding the remaining issues. A final session on May 20 did not result in an agreement, as hoped.
As of the close of the session on May 20, University and Faculty Union bargaining teams have agreed to 22 Sections of the contract. (See full text of agreements. The pdf file has bookmarks to particular sections). Three sections remained under discussion at the end of the day on May 20. Please note that this list has not been formally reviewed by both parties.

ITEMS STILL UNDER DISCUSSION
Three sections remained under discussion at the end of the session on May 20. There is agreement around parts of these sections, however the parties have not been able to come to agreement on the type of process to follow, nor on the percentage of salary increase for 2008-2009.
