- Sally McKechnie, Director, Business Services
Business Services oversees the business areas of the university. Areas included under this department are: Student Financial Services ( Student Accounts, Loans & Collections and AR System Support); Purchasing (Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Contract Administration, PCard and Travel Services); Support Services (Central Stores, Equipment Inventory, Surplus Sales, Transport Services and Mail Services).
- Teresa Mroczkiewicz, Director, Financial Services
Financial Services oversees all of the financial aspects of the university. Areas included under this department are: Accounting Services (Student Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and G/L Accounting); Treasury Services (University Cashier, Cash Management and Internal Controls); and Financial Systems Support.
- Renée Roberts, Director, Capital Budget Office
The Capital Budget Office develops and coordinates University-level capital budget policies and procedures including: budget request, allocation and administrative processes; represents the University to State executive and legislative staff on issues related to the University; interprets State policies and legislation related to the budget; and develops or coordinates the responses made by the University to inquiries from State legislative, advisory and executive offices.
- Gayle Shipley, Director, Environmental Health and Safety
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assists academic and administrative departments in providing a healthy and safe environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors. EHS facilitates compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulations regarding health, safety, and the environment.
Responsibilities include: risk management; workers compensation; chemical, biological, and radiological materials management; hazardous building materials management; indoor air quality; occupational safety; fire safety; environmental management; ergonomics; industrial hygiene; emergency planning; chemical spill response; and safety training.
- Randy Stegmeier, Director, Public Safety
Public Safety provides a safe and secure environment within the WWU community and protection of its property. It is composed of four departments: University Police; Parking Services; Sustainable Transportation; and University Lockshop.
- Chyerl Wolfe-Lee, Director, Human Resources
The primary function of Human Resources is to provide human resource services for University employees. The staff is committed to providing courteous, efficient service supportive of employees and the University mission and goals, in compliance with Federal, State, and University regulations.
These functions include: employee relations services; labor relations services; supervisory counseling/training; labor negotiations; payroll processing; benefits processing & counseling; training and organizational development; EASE: Electronic Application System for Employment; human resources information system support; classification/compensation management; and disability management.
- Tim Wynn, Director, Facilities Management
Facilities Management provides stewardship for Western’s campus community with Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence.
Responsibilities include: providing for the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and safe operation of the university’s physical property; managing all building renovation and repair; overseeing all utilities repair and operations; providing custodial services; providing motor pool services and vehicle maintenance; and assuring compliance with federal, state, and municipal laws governing the existence and operation of the university’s facilities.
