Psychological Emergency Services

Emergency services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, throughout the year.

Crisis Appointments Monday Through Friday 8:30-4:30

The Counseling Center reserves several appointment hours each day for students with urgent psychological concerns. To be seen right away for an urgent concern, just call or stop by the reception desk and ask for a same-day appointment.

After-Hours Emergency Services

When we are closed there are several ways to contact someone if you or a fellow student is having a psychological emergency.

If you live in a residence hall:

1. First, talk to your RA or RD.

2. If he or she is not available, call University Police at 650-3555. Ask them to page the counselor on call.

3. If the situation is more urgent, call 911 or go to the Emergency Room at St. Joseph's Hospital.

If you live off campus:

1. Call University Police at 650-3555. Ask them to page the counselor on call.

2. If the situation is more urgent, call 911 or go to the Emergency Room at St. Joseph's Hospital.

3. Call the Crisis Line at 1-800-584-3578 to talk with a community counselor.
