Volunteer:

  • The Whatcom Volunteer Center (WVC) is on campus to help you find the perfect volunteer opportunity. Stop by the Center for Service-Learning on Thursdays between 12:00 and 4:00pm to talk to a WVC representative.
  • Or stop by any time between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, for assistance with volunteering and service-learning.
  • Visit our Get Involved page to discover more ways to connect with your community.

Classes:

Service-learning classes incorporate service projects as a part of the curriculum, allowing students to immediately apply what they're learning in a real life situation. Students tell us that service-learning classes give them a chance to:

  • Earn class credit while serving the community
  • Explore new career opportunities and make professional connections
  • Try new things and discover new passions
  • Develop skills for the workplace and add valuable experience to their resume
  • Increase cultural awareness and knowledge of diversity in the community
  • Explore local, national and global social justice issues

View service-learning classes for this quarter.
