Elizabeth M. Murphy Scholarship The Elizabeth M. Murphy scholarship shall be awarded to women who are declared majors in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Engineering Technology (TAC/ABET programs), Mathematics, or Physics. Applicants should have a demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to single women who have dependent children. Awardees must make satisfactory academic progress toward a degree. This is a $4000.00 scholarship. Deadline: April 25, 2008

Ron and Rita Spellhaug Scholarship The Ron and Rita Spellhaug Aviation Scholarship was established in 2002. It is administered by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. This scholarship is for a student preparing for a career in aviation or a related field. Preference shall be given to a student preparing to be a pilot. One full Washington resident tuition scholarship is available. Deadline: TBA A scholarship of approximately $5000.00 is available. |

Marion VanNostrand Scholarship The Marion VanNostrand scholarship shall be awarded to women who are declared majors in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Engineering Technology (TAC/ABET programs), Mathematics, or Physics. Paul Woodring Scholarship The Arts & Sciences Woodring Scholarship was established in 1996 for students of exceptional talent enrolled in the College of Sciences and Technology and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Scholarship is awarded "without regard to race, sex or religion, but to those students who, in the judgment of faculty members who know them, seem most likely to make substantial contributions to mankind as a result of their liberal education." The Dean's office of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences will call for nominations during Winter Quarter for the scholarship award for the next academic year. Deadline: TBA |

Oscar Edwin Olson Scholarship The Oscar Edwin Olson Scholarship shall be awarded to students who are declared majors in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, or Physics/Astronomy . Eligible students must be children of single, divorced or widowed parents. They must also be eligible for Financial Aid. Deadline: May 2, 2008

The Sue McAndrew Scholarships The College of Sciences and Technology is pleased to announce the Sue McAndrew Scholarships. There are five, $1000 scholarships that are available this academic year. Recipients of the scholarships should be able to demonstrate financial need and a have a meritorious academic record. All declared majors in CST Departments (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Geology, Mathematics and Physics/Astronomy) are eligible to receive this award. The College of Sciences and Technology The College of Sciences and Technology is pleased to announce the CST Alumni Association Leadership Scholarships. There are three, $1000 scholarships that are available this academic year and are provided by the Alumni Association. Recipients of these scholarships should currently be declared majors in CST Departments (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Geology, Mathematics and Physics/Astronomy) and have demonstrated excellence in Leadership. Deadline: May 2, 2008

The Women in Science Scholarship Women in Science Scholarships are awarded to female students who are currently enrolled as majors in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or Physics/Astronomy. Each department may nominate one student to receive this award, although only two scholarships will be awarded annually. Financial need is a secondary consideration. There is no application process for students; the nominee is selected from faculty recommendations. Faculty nominations to the department chair are due in March; the departmental nominations from each of the departments is due to the College of Sciences and Technology in May.
