The chapter sponsors an annual Student Poster Presentation during Scholar's Week in which science students are able to share and discuss their research findings with Western students and faculty.
Each year approximately 60 students from all scientific disciplines at Western present their work, truly making the poster session an interdisciplinary affair. This is a prestigious event on campus due to the high quality of the work conducted by the students and the reputation established through the years by the chapter.
The WWU Chapter of Sigma-Xi also invites a distinguished speaker during Scholar's Week to give a lecture on a current and engaging scientific topic. The talks are not only informative but also stimulate the intellect and generate a lively exchange of ideas.
**Priority Deadline for title and abstract submission is Thursday, April 24th at 4 pm (abstracts also accepted through Friday, May 9th at 4 pm)**
