Where do you go for advice when the red tape has you caught, University policies don't seem to work, you need an emergency leave of absence, or you'd just like to get the answers you need?
The Student Life office can assist students with:
advice on academic and administrative policies, procedures, and grievances
leave of absence for a non-medical emergency
support while experiencing a crisis
hardship withdrawals
information on University resources
assistance in problem-solving within the University system
An advisor is available to meet with you from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Privacy and issues of confidentiality will be respected. Appointments are not necessary, but they ensure that someone will be available when you visit.
Common situations for referral to the Student Life office include: academic grievances, hardship withdrawals, frustrations with the administrative workings within the institution, or death or illness of a family member. Additional resources for students can be found at the Academic Success website.
