Welcome!

disAbility Resources for Students (DRS) at Western Washington University provides disAbility management counseling, enabling resources, and referral information to enrolled students who possess a temporary or permanent disAbling condition. For service eligibility, a complete diagnostic description from a qualified professional is required. Specific accommodations or services are determined on an individual basis and are modified to meet the unique needs of the student and their academic experience.
Resources for Students:
Through DRS, Western provides admitted or prospective students with disAbilities an equal opportunity to access all aspects of University life. DRS is committed to providing services and programs that foster student development at all levels, intellectual, emotional, physical, and social. Full participation in all aspects of University life is not only necessary to achieve this holistic development, but it is encouraged and supported by the DRS team.
Resources for Faculty:
Western Faculty are important members of the DRS team when academic accommodations directly involve the classroom and classroom activities. We aim to partner with faculty at WWU in order to ensure student success.
Resources for Family Members:
The transition to college impacts the student, as well as their family. Our office strives to work in a partnership model with students and families.
