A qualified student with a disability who is dissatisfied with the offered accommodation or the decision to deny an accommodation may grieve the decision. It is the student's responsibility to initiate the grievance process (see Procedure 9).
disAbility Resources for Students (DRS) is committed to resolving the grievance early on in the process. However, if additional time is needed to process the student's grievance, either the student or the administrators may request an extension from the Director of OSL or designee.

1. Students can Request Interim Accommodations During the Grievance Procedure
The student may request an interim accommodation while the grievance process is underway. It is the student's responsibility to initiate this request. The student must submit the request first to the Director of DRS or designee. If the request is not granted, then the student may continue to submit it through the chain of command which is comprised of the Director of OSL, and the Vice President for Student Affairs.
