Eating Well

Your diet is important not only for how it affects your weight but for how well it supplies your body with the nutrition it needs. The muscles and bones that support your efforts at physical activity need to be well supplied in order to function best, protect you against injury, and heal when injury does occur.

Try the Body Mass Indicator Calculator at the Center for Disease Control website to find out whether you may need to consider your weight as a factor in your health. Be sure to consult with your doctor if you have any concerns.
