Introducing New Staff in the Equal Opportunity Office

The Equal Opportunity Office is excited to introduce two new staff members who joined our team during the 2016-2017 year.

Hailey Chittick came to the EO Office last December in the position of Administrative Assistant 3. Hailey earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania. Most recently, Hailey served for over three years as an administrative assistant at the University of Alaska Southeast Sitka campus, where her responsibilities included providing administrative support for the campus director and administrative office.

Mallory Sullivan was hired in January, in the new position of Title IX/Civil Rights Investigator.  Mallory earned her bachelor’s degree in Law, Societies, and Justice and Sociology from the University of Washington, and also earned her JD from the University of Washington School of Law. Most recently, Mallory served as a program supervisor for the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) in Olympia, where her responsibilities included monitoring and enforcing school district compliance with state and federal civil rights laws through compliance reviews. Prior to serving at OSPI, Mallory worked as an associate attorney with Patterson Buchanan Fobes & Leitch, Inc. During law school, Mallory worked with both the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights and Seattle Public Schools’ Office of General Counsel.

Please join us in welcoming Hailey and Mallory to the Equal Opportunity Office and to Western!
