You must submit your application for degree ("blue card")
by the published deadline (current
year deadlines available here in PDF format) in order
to graduate.
The Graduate School emails graduation information
to those who have submitted their blue card by the third
week of the quarter.

Office website for more detailed information on commencement.
Commencement Participants:
Please see Commencement
Map for detailed info on seating and traffic flow for
graduate students during the ceremonies.
The blue arrows on the diagram indicate the path you will
take to your seats before the ceremony begins (led by Registrar’s
Office staff).
The red arrows indicate the route that you will take during
the ceremony to be hooded, announced and presented with
your diploma cover.
Please note: There will be multiple faculty members “hooding”
students during each ceremony.
If your program or thesis adviser is present to hood you,
please proceed directly to that person when prompted by
the usher.
If your adviser is not present to hood you, one of the other
faculty members will be happy to do so.
If you have questions or need clarification, feel free
to discuss them when you pick up your tickets or contact
