- What's best about Honors?
- The best part of the Honors program is the availability of the smaller classes as well as the quality of the professors and classmates I have had the pleasure of meeting. The honors chemistry series is and will remain one of my fondest memories of college. The Honors program provides classes that are challenging as well as thought-provoking. I admire the program’s emphasis on the quality of education. I have the utmost respect for the professors and colleagues I have met through Honors. They are now some of my favorite professors as well as friends.
- Your first Western "WOW" moment?
-
It may sound silly, but my first wow moment was the moment I realized the amount of freedom and independence I was now given as a college student. Knowing that this was my opportunity to choose my direction in life, accomplish my goals, as well as meet people who will become my lifetime friends was more exciting than I can describe.
- Outside the classroom?
-
? I love Bellingham. My friends and I really like to go kayaking, sailing, camping, and just enjoy the beautiful views. I also enjoy taking care of plants and animals. I have a pet bunny named Maggie Moo; she is quite the cutie. Lastly, spending quality with my friends and family is a must for me!
- What is the best book you've read lately?
-
Honestly, I have been busy with a lot of textbook reading. The best non-school related book I’ve read lately is a Vietnamese children’s book. The story is about an ambitious cricket who tackles life’s adventures and learns one lesson at a time.
- What is your favorite memory of WWU?
-
My favorite memory is from my freshman year when it snowed enough to go sledding. My friends and I found large cardboard boxes from the dorm recycling and went sledding around campus. It was so simple but I had a great time! I remember laughing so hard I thought my abs were getting a work out.
