Housing

Bellingham offers a wide range of housing. New students coming into the IEP usually prefer to stay in the apartments on campus. University dormitories and apartments are coeducational and range in occupancy from 90-500 students. Some are located along a forested hillside, while others enjoy landscaped courtyards or spectacular views of Bellingham Bay. Each residence hall includes recreational lounges, study areas, laundry rooms, and recycling facilities.
Housing costs vary depending upon the accommodations, but an approximate cost for a double room and 21 meals per week would be $1,700 per quarter plus $200 security deposit.
In addition to on-campus housing, there are apartments close by the campus with varying costs. Busses arrive on campus about every 15 minutes, and bus transportation is very reasonable ($30 per quarter). Western also has many fine dining facilities where students may take their meals. University Residences information can be found here. If you are interested in applying for housing yourself, please contact us for your student number.
