RequirementsThe Department of Journalism offers three sequences leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree: a journalism sequence (news-editorial), a journalism-public relations sequence and a Visual Journalism sequence. We also offer a combined environmental studies/journalism major with the Huxley College of Environmental Studies (students should have faculty advisers in both Huxley and Journalism). A minor in journalism also is available.
For detailed information about each of these options, see the following plans of study or check out the Student Course Outline.
Note: These plans of study are designed for the 2007-2008 academic year. If you declared the major prior to fall 2007, you have the option of completing the plan in effect at the time you officially declared or you may switch to the new plan. Please refer to course descriptions and the old course schedule for complete information about our classes, and contact the department with any questions you might have.
