Supervising Producer Robert Hood leads a team of producers at
msnbc.com who are responsible for multimedia storytelling from
breaking news to documentary reports. Under his leadership, multimedia
projects on the site received numerous awards from the Online
News Association, Pictures of the Year International, and Best
of Photojournalism (NPPA).
In addition
to teaching and speaking about online visual journalism, Robert
also judged the Pictures of the Year International competition.
He continues to report multimedia, covering stories in Russia,
South Africa and various places around the United States while
on assignment for msnbc.com.
Previously,
he worked as a photojournalist for daily newspapers in Utah and
Wyoming. His freelance work has appeared in The New York Times
and The Los Angeles Times. He also taught classes in the University
of Missouri photojournalism sequence before coming to msnbc.com
in 1996.
