Welcome to the home of WWU Judo!
WWU Judo will begin on Monday, September 29.
The WWU Sport Club Council has a new requirement for all Sport Club Members:
The Player Registration Pack (new this year) is that each participant in the Sport Club program, whatever team they are on is required to have a sports physical on file. This means they need to be cleared by their primary physician and bring the documentation in so that we can photocopy it. This is necessary to have an understanding of any pre-existing medical conditions and also provides more legitimacy to the program. This was voted on and approved by the Sport Club Council and will be in effect for the 2014-15 school year. No students are permitted to participate in any sport club activity without these forms complete, so if you are practice early before school tell your team they need to have these forms in and a sports physical. This also includes all leadership as well, to participate in WWU Sport Clubs you are REQUIRED to be cleared and have a sports physical on file with the Sport Club Office. Violations of this can and will result in suspensions for the teams associated.
The Western Washington University Judo Club is devoted to teaching judo to beginners and advanced members year round. We provide a positive environment for co-ed judo practice stressing safety, sportsmanship, and fun. We believe that long term involvement in judo can help members become confident in themselves both physically and mentally and that this confidence will lead them to become better citizens throughout their life.
