Transcript FAQ

Q: How do I log on to Web4U?
A: Enter your Student ID# and PIN. For more logon information, please read the PIN FAQ's.

Q. What is my student ID?
A. ALL student records have a student ID - an 8-digit number beginning with W zero. Students enrolled prior to Fall of 1999 have a 7-digit student ID that starts with the 2-digit year of their first enrollment. Both ID's may be entered into Web4U preceded by a capital ‘W' (ex: W00987654) or ‘ST' (ex: ST7145474).

Q. What if I can't remember my student ID?
A. If you are filling out the form, write down you SSN and leave the Student ID field blank.
A. If you are accessing Web4U, try the suggestions in the PIN FAQ's.

Q. What holds will delay my transcript?
A: Any of the following: Unpaid parking fees, library fines, or transcript fees; student account balances including tuition, housing and other WWU fees and fines; Loans and Collections and Exit holds. The exit hold refers to exit loan paperwork required when you have Financial aid and leave the University.

Q: How can I find out if I have any holds or owe money?
A: Log on to Web4U, click on Student, Student Records, View Holds.

Q: How do I get unofficial transcript information online?
A: Log onto Web4U

Q: What is the process to include additional documents with my transcript?
A: Agencies such as Law School Admission Council (LSAC) and some colleges require additional documents to be sent with the transcript.

Q: How do I get additional documents to WWU for inclusion?
A: When you order online, they may be faxed along with the Authorization Form to WWU's Registrar's Office at (360) 650-7327.
A: When you place your order in person, they may be hand delivered along with your Transcript Request Form. When you place your order by mail, they may be included with your order and check.

Q: What is an Authorization Form?
A: This form allows WWU to conform to the Federal Privacy Act of 1974. When you use Web4U to order your transcript, your ID and PIN provide the needed authorization. When you order online, this form is automatically generated and can be printed, emailed or faxed to you. Your transcript order may be processed ONLY after your completed and signed form is received. You may fax or mail this form to the number or address identified on the Authorization form.

Q: What do I need to know to pick up my transcript in person?
A: You will present picture ID to obtain the transcript and pick it up from any Registrar Office station.

Q: How do I get to the Registrar's Office?
A: The Registrar's Office is located on the second floor of Old Main (OM 230 – see campus map). Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. On Tuesday's the office opens at 9:00 am and closes at 5:00 pm. Parking information is available here.

Q: What do I do if I want my current name on my transcript?
A: Our office needs to receive your name change documentation concurrent with, or prior to, your transcript order being processed. Please refer to WWU's name change process.

Q: Which credit cards are accepted?
A: Credit cards are accepted when ordering transcripts by internet only. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express cards are accepted. Check our fee information for more payment options.

Q: What if I don't have an email account?
A: You can provide a fax number instead. Email accounts are available free of charge. Here is a list of providers. This method will be used to send you status updates on your transcript order that may require your input.

Q: What methods of notification are available?
A: When you place your transcript order online, text messaging is offered as an optional form of notification in addition to email or fax.

Q: How can I check the status of my transcript order?
A: With your Order # and ID or SSN, you may look online 24/7 to check the status or cancel your transcript order.
