2010 Speaker Nomination Request

To All Members of the Campus Community:

The Scholars Week Organizing Committee invites all members of the campus community to nominate speakers for the 2010 Scholars Week Banquet, which will occur on Thursday, May 20, 2010. The selection of speakers for the annual banquet works on a three-year cycle: natural and applied sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities in successive years.

The 2010 speaker will come from the Applied Sciences. The speaker should be able to hold the interest of an educated but varied audience. Good speakers are always in high demand, and the committee is eager to secure nominations and select a speaker as early as possible.

Please send nominations to Tracey Finch at Tracey.Finch@wwu.edu or MS 9038 not later than August 21, 2009. Nominations should include a brief biography of the person nominated and current contact information.
