Welcome to WWU's online billing and payment information. With the help of a third-party vendor, CASHNet, WWU maintains an online system that enables all WWU students to receive e-bills and make online payments by logging into CASHNet's secure website.
CASHNet offers the following benefits:
For questions concerning your student ID or password when logging into CASHNet, contact Leslie Pinkston 360-650-4905 or Leslie.Pinkston@wwu.edu.
For questions concerning your student account information, contact Student Accounts 360-650-2865 or Student.Accounts@wwu.edu.
Students log into CASHNet through their MyWestern account and:
Student tab/ Web4U - Student / WWU Student Account Online
Authorized payers log into https://commerce.cashnet.com/wwupay?LT=P . You will need the login name and temporary password supplied by the student via email. The first time you log in, you will be required to change your password for security purposes.
If a student has created a Student Last Name or "Authorized User" for you, enter the Student Last Name or "Parent" Login and Password provided by the student. If you do not know your Parent login or Student Last Name, you can either reset it using the "Forgot Student Last Name" link on the login page, or you can contact your student to have them resend the information via email.
If you know the Student WWU ID # but do not know the Student Last Name, you can click the link on the login screen to access a different page where you may instead enter the Student WWU ID # and the Student’s Last Name. Note that when using this option you will be allowed to make payments but for security reasons you will not be able to see account balanaces, payment history, or any other personal information.

What are the benefits of e-billing and e-payment?
Benefits include:
Are there exceptions to e-billing? Can I continue to get a paper bill?
All currently enrolled students will receive electronic bills. Printed bills can be obtained by accessing your account online, through CASHNet, and printing out the e-bill. The e-bill can be accessed and printed at any computer with Internet and printer access. The university will also have several designated computers on campus for students to access their accounts and print bills.
I don’t feel comfortable paying my bill online. How do I pay my bill?
Paying your bill electronically is optional. Can I make my payment by credit card?
Western Washington University no longer accepts student account payments directly by credit card (tuition, housing, and meal plan fees). However, as a convenience to students and authorized payers, WWU has contracted with a third party vendor,
Authorized Payers
Authorized payers may include parents, spouses, relatives, guardians, and employers. Students must set up access for the authorized payer to view the student’s account information and make payments
Why isn’t Visa accepted?
Visa’s rules do not permit the vendor to charge a standard percentage of transactions as a convenience fee. Visa’s policy only allows vendors to charge a set transaction fee, regardless of how much is charged on the card. It would be difficult for the university to designate an appropriate set fee for tuition, room, and board payments, due to the varying payment amounts and payment plans among individual students. A large number of schools have stopped accepting Visa cards for this same reason.
Please note that Visa cards are still accepted at the University Bookstore and other locations on campus. CASHNet accepts MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for online credit card payments.
Why doesn’t WWU directly accept credit card payments for student account fees?
The merchant fees that WWU pays to accept credit card payments have increased every year and have become prohibitively expensive. The savings will be used to improve university resources and academic services. Students and authorized payers may pay by credit card through CASHNet.
Does CASHNet charge for e-billing and e-check (ACH) payment services?
No, CASHNet offers these services free of charge.
How can authorized payers make payment on my behalf?
Students have the option to designate another party to view and pay student bills. This third party will need a one-time authorization, issued by the student via the payment website. The authorized user can then access the third party vendor system directly or through the university website, to view the student’s account information and make payments.
Once the authorized payer has logged into CASHNet, the payer can change his/her login name and password, and set up and store his/her own profile and account information. Thereafter, unless authorization is canceled, the third party will be notified via his/her own email address that the student’s e-bill is available for viewing. The individual can also log into the website to view the student’s account information and make a payment. This authorization only gives access to statements and payment options; authorized payers will not have access to any other student records.
How do students authorize additional payers?
Students have the option to designate authorized payers to view and pay student bills, such as parents, spouses, relatives, guardians, or employers. Instructions for setting up authorized payer accounts are displayed above.
Do authorized payers have to make their payment online?
No. The authorized payer can print a copy of the e-bill via the Internet and mail his/her payment (check, cashier’s check, or traveler’s check) along with the remittance portion of the printed e-bill to the appropriate campus office. Make the check payable to Western Washington University and include the student’s ID number on the check. Don't forget to include the top barcode section of the billing statement.
