A graduate of Western Washington University in Winter 2003, I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration-Marketing. I transferred to Western with an Associate of Arts-Business degree from Highline Community College. As a student at Western, I was the Public Relations officer for the Filipino American Student Association, an active student leader in the Ethnic Student Center, Choreographer for the Western Washington University Hip Hop Dance Team, dancer with KINetics Seattle and Team Boogiezone-Breed Seattle, and volunteered at many events on- and off-campus.
My professional career began in the Office of Admissions as an Admissions Counselor for Multicultural Outreach. I travelled around Washington State and the Hawaiian islands of Oahu and Maui to recruit multicultural high school students. My love of Hawaii’s weather and culture brought me to live there for over three years, where I met and married my husband Josh. During this time, my husband and I pursued art, music, and sports. Returning to Washington in 2007, I now serve Student Outreach Services as an Academic Support Coordinator where I develop programs, events, and workshops to promote campus integration and academic success. I also provide academic and personal advising to students in the Leadership VIP, Destination Graduation, and CAMP Peer Mentors programs.
I can usually be found outdoors playing sports, hiking, and running - last year I ran the The Human Race 10k, the Bellingham Half-Marathon, and the Seattle Marathon. This year, Josh and I expect our first child in August, but I’ll probably squeeze in a quick race before the end of the year.
