This page provides instructions on installing the WWU CA Certificates. Please read through the instructions completely before beginning the process. Screen shots have been provided for illustration purposes only. When you are ready, start with Step 1 below.
Please note that there are a total of 2 certificates to install:
Certificate #1: WWU CA Certificate
This certificate relates to many different Web and Mail services on campus servers.
Step 1: Click here to download the WWU CA certificate.
Step 2: After clicking on the link in Step 1, you should be presented with a screen like the one below. The following screen shots will walk you through the process.

Click 'Open', and you'll see the following window.

Click 'Install Certificate...', and you'll be presented with a Certificate Import Wizard.
Accept all the defaults by clicking 'Next >' and then 'Finish'. You will see the following window.
Vista Users: you must manually chose the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" Certificate Store.

Click 'Yes'.

Step 3: Click here to test the installation. If you see the following window, the installation didn't work. Please start back at Step 1 and try again.

If you see this, the CA certificate was not installed. Please try again, starting at Step 1.
|
Certificate #2: Local Novell CA Certificate
This certificate relates to secure Web services on the campus Novell servers.
Step 4: Click here to download the local Novell CA certificate.
Step 5: Repeat Step 2. The "Issued to:" field will read "Organizational CA". This is expected.
Step 6: Click here to test the installation. If you see the following window, the installation didn't work. Please start back Step 4 and try again.

If you see this, the CA certificate was not installed. Please try again, starting at Step 4.
