Dialogue Group Resources

Study Question for 2007-2008: What keeps us from genuine dialogue across multiple perspectives? And what would encourage that dialogue in sustaining a respectful, inclusive learning culture? Learning Disruptions
In May 2007, TLA members Josh Bergman, Kari Painter, Luke Ware, and Carmen Werder facilitated a conference session studying learning disruptions at the Pacific Northwest Higher Education Teaching & Learning Conference.
Based on information from WWU students and faculty as well as session participants, the study generated common disruptions, hypothesized potential causes, and proposed promising strategies.

International Society of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Video In the Fall of 2005, Carmen Werder and Erik Skogsberg attended the ISSOTL conference in British Columbia where they headlined a session entitled "Student Voices in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: So What?" During their presentation, they showed this 15 minute video, which contains students, staff, and faculty discussing the importance of the student voice in education.

Preliminary Waterfront Proposal The final product of the 2004-2005 TLA, this document details our ideas for the renovation of the property fronting Bellingham Bay.
