The Women Studies program recognizes and supports diverse pedagogy
and teaching strategies and encourages Women Studies faculty to
participate in workshops and colloquia on feminist pedagogy and
its application. The program promotes active, collaborative learning
and critical thinking, and offers students an interdisciplinary
approach to the study of feminist perspectives and voices while
providing students with a forum to develop and articulate their
own experience. Courses in the program address women's issues
in three areas: women in history and politics, women in science
and society, and women in language and the arts.
