Arts Marketing: Developing a Professional Strategy
This course is focused on arts marketing and arts related marketing strategies. Participants will leave with a self-designed marketing plan tailored to their own individual work.
The course will blend marketing theory and practice, with in-class lectures and feedback and out of class exercises that are coordinated to develop the foundations for an integrated marketing plan. Each lecture sets up the out of class work that participating artists will do on their own before the next class. Each exercise is structured to contribute to the creation of a final integrated marketing and communication plan personally tailored by each artist to their own needs, with each exercise building on the next.
Personal and creative brand management, segmenting, targeting, positioning and marketing strategy all will be covered and integrated into a final document that is adaptable and can provide marketing guidance for years to come.
