This Is A Non-Credit Program

Prose Writing for All Genres is a three term certificated course for writers of fiction, narrative nonfiction, memoir and essays.  Three, seven week classes focus not on genre, but on the skills crucial to all writers. Participants can take one class, or all three. Certificates are awarded for participants who successfully complete all three courses.

The emphasis will be on developing skills and writerly insight: how to create and enhance character, to make vivid scenic depiction, how write dialogue that reveals character and advances story, and how to assess structural choices for the narrative. This is a class in writing process, a skills course/program.
